My Community My Commitment
Environmental sustainability design, provided by school i order to create a generation with green mind concept, creating green building and leave the world more sustainable.
This time, we approach Chin children Education Centre. Via Aiesec, we got to know there's a refugee school locating near Sungai Besi for basic education for the refugee. Under the old apartment, a small shoplot rented by an organisation, providing them a better future.
This project we are required to create a better study environment for them by creating creative stuff. We had come out a cupboard, a hanger and providing cement floorig for replacing the old one full of holes. We had bought them a bookshelf as well for allocating their files which cannot be fit into the normal shelf.
The condition of the classrooms was really not advisable to be a study place. Windows are only covered with frames, without the glass panels. This create inconvenience when it happened to be raining.
Therefore, we are going to transform the place to a more cheerful place. We also provided a bench for them to play with, made with tyres and wooden palates.

I really appreciate my team for giving a excellent outcome for this project. We went through a lot of difficulties and argument while figuring out the solutions. Some of them really sacrifice their time, reaching the community when we are selling Free Mori bread for fund raising, who are Jsern Phua, Liew Chung Hooi, Peh Kerneng and Lim Yee Qin.
Community work really bond people together. We not only involve people within the campus while the communtiy in SS15 and so does the community within Sungai Besi, while coming out for helping the flooring. We found it worthy for spending so much of our time and tears along the journey of helping out the school.
Love the children ignorance and their smile. They are so sincere and true, they will hold your hands and play with you without considering who are you and where you are from. By Feeling the warmth form their hand, I got to know there're still warmth withing this cold,dark society. Beyond the darkness, there's light and hope.
Let's build a better society by immenting our green mind and love.
